Proscenium was founded in 1924. Since then, the aim of this experienced group has been to present classic and contemporary plays to as wide an audience as possible.

Since 1990, performances have taken place at the Harrow Arts Centre and, more recently, at the Compass Theatre, Ickenham.

The company meets three times a week, at the Harrow Arts Centre for rehearsals, so that four plays are presented in each season. Social, fund raising activities and play readings take place throughout the year.

This site aims to provide information about Proscenium to both members of the public, and to members of Proscenium in a way that it is quick to load, accessible to many, easy to read and attractive.

I have attempted to achieve this by minimal use of graphics, and extensive use of style sheets. The place where this is not feasible has been with providing copies of past programmes online; to do this, I have converted the programmes to PDF format. PDF is a form of file that should be readable on most platforms, and the standard Adobe Acrobat reader is available for free at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readermain.html.
