An Enemy of the People

By Henrik Ibsen

Proscenium presents Ibsen’s classic whistle-blower play about corruption in high places.

Written in 1882, An Enemy of the People deals with a doctor speaking inconvenient truths to those in power, starting a war of words where scientific data is dismissed as opinion.

Some things never change.

Doctor Stockmann discovers the local water supply is dangerously polluted. But the economy of the town relies on visitors to its famous health spa, so difficult choices must be made, prompting division and ruin.

Please note: this is modern and vibrant adaptation, with some strong language.
